Mirror-polished or black?

Silver sets have a bright mirror polish. Black sets have a matte black PVD finish, a vacuum-deposited coating that is much harder-wearing than paint. Both are stainless steel about 2 mm thick.

Care and guarantee

Every set is dishwasher safe. Dry the pieces soon after the cycle to avoid water spots, and use a detergent without bleach for black sets. Each set comes with a 1-year replacement guarantee.
